| Lowry Bros. started pulling in the early 80's with the "Sudden Impact" 2wd Chevy Truck. They sold the truck years later and started building a pulling sled. In 1989 Lowry Sled Rental was started with the "Downhill Express". This machine was built in house by the Lowry Bros. In 1991 the pulling bug came around again and the "Sudden Impact" single engine modified was built. After a few years pulling in Indiana with what is now IMTPA they moved up Illinois Tractor Pullers Assoc. winning several championships. Then in 2003 they had the need for a second sled so they bought one from Dave Hager. In 2005 they built Dave Hager the "Arctic Cat Sled" and they received the "Rebel Rouser" to their line up. Then as 2008 arrived they purchased a new sled from Richard Love. Chad Mayhill would be the operator of the "Well Oiled Machine". They strive to supply top notch equipment to put on the best pull possible while keeping safety the most important objective. They have done pulls from Texas to Wisconsin and Nevada to West Virginia. Lowry Sled Rental also has v-blades, laser measurement, and scale rental available. All of the sleds are a Class 8 by the NASOA. This means they can pull everything from antiques to unlimited modifieds. |
